“AgroTech Russia-2011”:
Suppliers of Agricultural Machinery Keep Contact
with Russian Agrarians
On October 9th the VI International Specialized Exhibition of Agricultural Machinery “AgroTech Russia-2011” was completed on the territory of the All-Russian Exhibition Centre in Moscow, which is conducted annually within the framework of the agro-industrial exhibition “Zolotaya Osen” (Golden Autumn).
According to preliminary figures, approximately 23 thousand people visited the exhibition during four days, 90 percent of them were specialists of the agrarian industry.
Currently, “AgroTech Russia” is one of the largest demonstration grounds of agricultural machinery and equipment in our country. This year all the basic brands of agricultural machinery and equipment were presented on the exhibition.
623 companies and agencies from 29 countries of the world brought to the exhibition the best standards and models of products of the agricultural machinery industry, associated equipment, seeds, fertilizers, plant-protecting agents and other products, necessary for the equipping of the agro-industrial complex enterprises of our country and introduction of modern production techniques, storage and primary processing of the crop products.
High status of the “AgroTech Russia” was emphasized by the fact that Victor Zubkov, First Deputy Chairman of Government of the Russian Federation, Elena Skrynnik, the Minister of Agriculture of the Russian Federation as well as Dmitry Patrushev, the Chairman of the Management Board of OJSC “Rosselkhozbank”, Valery Nazarov, Director General of OJSC “Rosagrolizing”, Alexander Mikushko, Director General of State Joint-Stock Company „All-Russian Exhibition Centre“, (OJSC), Evgeniy Korchevoy, Director of the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Producers took part in the exhibition opening ceremony.
15 ministers of agriculture and other high-ranking official representatives of member-countries of the Organization of the Black Sea Economic Cooperation, as well as from Italy, Germany, Denmark and Netherlands arrived to Moscow to participate in business meetings being conducted within the exhibition framework.
Active participation of foreign companies became a unique feature of the “AgroTech Russia” exhibition. The most number of foreign exhibitors presented Germany (51 companies), Holland (38), Italy (32), France (11), China (14), Turkey (9). Byelorussia (27 companies) and Ukraine (12 companies) became the most active countries from the near abroad.
The diversification of the technique exhibited enabled to involve an additional pavilion for the display at the exhibition. So, the exhibition occurred in pavilions No. 75 and No. 69, as well as on outdoor areas of VVC. The total area of the display made more than 50,000 sq. m.
Considerable expansion of sections “Components, Spare Parts and Service Equipment”, “Seeds, Plant-Protecting Agents and Fertilizer”, “Transportation, Storage and Primary Processing of Harvest” became a peculiarity of “AgroTech Russia-2011”. The spectrum of the demonstrated products on these directions differed by its immensity and uniqueness. The large variety of machinery was presented in the section “Tillage Machines, Sowing and Crop Tending Equipment”. Leading companies-producers also participated in sections “Forage Conservation Machines”, “Sugar Beet and Potato Harvesting” and in other sections.
The tendency of implementation of technical and technological modernization of agricultural production, determined by the leadership of the country, is expressly discernible at the exhibition.
In his speech at the opening ceremony First Deputy Chairman of Government of the Russian Federation Victor Zubkov said: “The government supports and will support the agrarian complex. We will help to promote your products; we will continue to take measures to decline expenses on some directions. It is connected with fuels and lubricants and with fertilizers, and with railway transportation. The industry development keeps on the right track, the state, business, regions and farmers together will be able to provide the population of Russia with high-quality products and shorten the import”.
According to the Minister of Agriculture Elena Skrynnik – “Export will become a new point of growth of the agro-industrial complex of the Russian Federation”.
At present the share of the Russian machinery for the crop production makes only approximately 40%, but to 2020 this figure should be increased to 60%. Within the exhibition framework an agreement between the Ministry of Agriculture of RF and the “Group GAS” Russian Company was signed to update AIC’s transport park.
Director of the Russian Association of Agricultural Machinery Producers Evgeniy Korchevoy underlined the high value of the exhibition: “The exhibition is very large, indeed. There are a lot of international stands and foreign exhibitors here. “AgroTech Russia” is a very multisided exhibition and more and more approaches to the well-known international exhibitions. For us, machine builders, those meetings being conducted within the exhibition framework are very interesting, because it is important for us to understand what is required today for the agriculture, what machines are the most in demand, and depending on this to make our plans”.
As a whole, the “AgroTech” exhibition allowed not only to discuss all important issues associated with the development of AIC of Russia, but also to show the willingness of agricultural machinery producers to satisfy the necessities of the Russian agrarians.

Preliminary results of survey, conducted among visitors of the exhibition of “AgroTech Russia-2011” indicated:
- 78% of those asked were pleased with the exhibition;
- 82% of visitors plan to visit AgroTech Russia in 2012;
- about 40% of those asked plan to invest in the modernization of agriculture.

The exhibition "Golden Autumn" is the main Agricultural Forum of Russia for over 12 years, keeping the best traditions of agricultural exhibitions and shows that develop the main directions of modern agriculture.

According the last order of the Ministry of Agriculture of the Russian Federation:
- The official opening ceremony of the 13th Russian Agricultural Exhibition "Golden Autumn» will be held on October 14, 2011.
- From 6 to 16 of October, 2011 trade-fair of the Russian regions will work on the open space (Industry Square of All-Russia Exhibition Center).
- Dates of the exhibition "AgroTech-Russia-2011" (Pavilion 75 and 69) will remain unchanged - from 6 to 9 October, 2011.
- From 13 till 16 of October , 2011 the following sections will be presented:
∙ “Regions of Russia. Foreign countries "Pavilion 57;
∙ “Animal husbandry and breeding," Pavilion 32;
∙ “Equipment for stock raising. Veterinary Medicine. Feed " - Pavilion 20.
It is planned to conduct a wide range of business events, presentations, contests, specialized programs in industrial sections of the exhibition, presentations of regional investment projects.
